Seems I never got the joke I guess it went right over my head In a BROKEN DOWN RESTAURANT Playing for drinks and tips And a hundred and fifty that we could split Now I'm here where the Buskers meet Tapping out a rhythm on this dirtry street Kings and Queens they rise and fall But don't we all? And it seems like a dream When we get to the end of it If you love it And you can't look back 'cause you know you're gonna crash but you do it anyway and you do it everyday 'Cause a broken heart can't be forgotten When it 's beating in your chest And it weighs on your mind All the the things you could have done Should have done But now you're running out of time When you look at the faces You fake another smile And they put another dollar in the hat But they're going somewhere You watch 'em leave But tomorrow you'll be right where you're at You had a dream Everybody does But you made a mistake And another one And another one On a sunny day You can hear 'em say He's a real good singer But you're singin in the rain 'Cause you're lost in a song And you can't believe how it all went wrong And you're feeling the strain When you're reaching for a high note headin' for an all time low The crowd gathers around 'Cause they like the sound The tourists and the debutante's They all say Hey man can you play thay song The BROKEN DOWN RESTAURANT

Coke Enemy 05:22
They found him in the street In Portland Oregon Put him in a paupers grave John Doe is all it said He was a falling star He played a bass guitar Combed his hair with an Afro Pick And sang Sweet Emotion Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain We used to get so high In the schoolyard parking lot Teacher said "Whats wrong with your eyes?" And we laughed about it But he could not break away As the years went passing by The cocaine and the alcohol He could not live without it Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain When we were little boys We had two roan ponies We road them through the fields Bareback Painted like warriors We fought against all odds The whole damn Union Army Always came to put us down But the ending was glorious Now I stand upon a stage ... The dealers come and go I read them to the letter I seem them everywhere And I pretend I just don't care But when I get cloudy I just blame it on the weather Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Co Co Coke Enemy Co Co Cocaine Brings The Rain

What Can You Do With A Broken Wheel? How far do you think you can ride? They say that she's gone But I've tried for so long to believe She's somewhere living in this whole wide world And ... Nothing's gonna keep us apart Nothing's gonna keep us apart Saying I'm not good enough Ill-timed and illegitimate Nothing's gonna keep us apart What Can You Do With A Broken Wheel? How easy is it gonna roll? For how many miles can you fake all the smiles You'll get old Just dreaming of a face that looks like home And ... Nothing's gonna keep us apart Nothing's gonna keep us apart Nothing's gonna keep us apart

I've Still Got You And I'll never forget it I may get the blues From time to time But I'll never regret it I've Still Got You And it's more than a memory I can feel you standing here with me When I was falling down You were breaking the fall When I got caught in the rain You made sense of it all Now every back is turned I'm standing beat up bruised and burned With all hope retreating Your love keeps repeating I've Still Got You I've Still Got You I've Still Got You I never wanted to be rich A big white house with a big white picket fence A big black limosine On the cover of a magazine Where does a rich man go when all the money's spent? But I'm better than that I've got something bigger And it's more than a memory I can feel you standing here with me When I put the flowers there And roll away the stone I know love is real And I'm never alone I've Still Got You I've Still Got You I've Still Got You Reach my hand Across space and time Heal the wound of remembering The image of your design Tell the Reaper Help me on my way When the great whore spits me out Won't you come and catch me once again I've Still Got You When I put the flowers there And roll away the stone I know love is real And I'm never alone I've Still Got You I've Still Got You I've Still Got You

The world is changin' All around And what goes up It burns like a candle That flickers out of time And so far behind I feel too much It's a love so strong And it takes me down To these places I ramble But there's no exit sign I keep looking for answers But all that I find I'll never die young I'll never grow old I won't be that lucky guy I'm just living proof Of a man in the middle of Struck In The Middle of ... Why? I hear the clock But I don't believe When the sun comes up I get lost and I'm blinded But it won't cast a shadow On a world that I've seen And it's all evergreen I'll never die young I'll never grow old I won't be that lucky guy I'm just living proof Of a man in the middle of Struck In The Middle of ... Why? I'll never die young I'll never grow old I won't be that lucky guy I'm just living proof Caught in the riddle of Time and the passing years Why am I standing here Stuck in the middle of Why

You are a worthless kind Worthless... but useful You are a worthless kind Worthless... but useful Mediocrity comes in greater numbers It's indefensible You are dispensable There was a king who dressed in shabby clothes With his hand out on the street You walked by; shook your head and that was that There was a king who stood up on a stage Playing on the strings of a broken heart; Was that you laughing behind his back? You are a worthless kind Worthless... but useful You are a worthless kind Worthless... but useful For the cream to rise to the top There is a medium that carries The mighty oak to reaches up to the sky From the seed that was buried Let them be separated Let them be separated Cover Me With your selfishness and greed Cover Me With your bloody violence Cover Me With hopelessness and fear Cover Me With every stain of every wasted life You are a worthless kind Worthless... but useful

Here you come to say hello Oh so many years ago You said goodbye when I Could not speak the language After our relationship Of just 9 months you disappeared A missing person you became Now you're a ghost It's all the same to me Guess who won't be missing you And love someone they never knew? You had your chance looks like you blew it When you were alive

Today I will make history The hurricane is coming An elemental that has risen from the Earth Behold the Earth A sentient creature Behold the Earth Self Conscious and Aware I've got a brain For over 9 years I have prepared for this moment Within the next 48 hours I will strut and crow like the rooster I will reach out and touch the hand of God Goodbye! Goodbye! I say to the Earth You took everything You had to take it all But now I'm gonna get it back He belongs to me She belongs to me He belongs to me She belongs to me She belongs to me And she belongs to me Is that what this is all about? I'm not gonna feel it anymore I'm not gonna feel it anymore Get yourself another proxy Behold the Earth A Parasite Only feeling what I am feeling

about

• Broken Down Restaurant: a song about a disillusioned musician busking in Key West

• Coke Enemy: a song about cocaine addiction, alcoholism , and the untimely death of my brother in Portland Oregon.

• Lost At St. Mary's: a song about a man longing to be reunited with his natural mother whom he has never met.

• More Than A Memory: a song about death and remembrance, and the power of love to reach out from beyond the grave.

• Stuck In The Middle of Why: this song might be about contemplating suicide, or dealing with a terminal illness. Pick your poison!

• Worthless Kind: this song is a rebuke of shallow fair weather friends and materialistic people in general, with a positive message of transcendence through adversity, ridicule, and indifference.

• You'll Never Break My Heart: this is primarily an instrumental that ends with a short lyrical chorus. The lyrical aspect of this song concerns the newly disincorporated spirit of a birth mother who makes contact with the son she abandoned as a new born infant at the hospital many years earlier. The son engages in a one sided conversation with his dead mother . Although he cannot see her he knows that she is there.

"Being born is the most severe form of suicide. Not ending in a moment. But one moment ending for a lifetime".

Considering our mortality, it is a shame that many talented people are stifled by peer pressure, censorship, and their own fear of flying. Since we have all paid the price of admission to the material world, I hardly think that I am going to worry too much about fashion.
